Here at American Fireworks, consumer safety is our number one priority. By maintaining our affiliations with the largest pyrotechnic councils and associations, we are able to keep up to date with the most current laws and safety standards. Chester Davis, the CEO of American Fireworks, currently serves as a board member for both the American Pyrotechnic Association and the American Fireworks Standards Laboratory.

American Pyrotechnics Association

The American Pyrotechnics Association (APA) was established in 1948 by a group of 7 fireworks manufacturing companies who recognized the need to unite in order to effectively face industry-wide issues. National Fireworks Association

The National Fireworks Association (NFA) was created in 1992 by Cam Starr, John Blogin, and Sammy Lau. The mission of this organization is to increase the awareness of safe-practices and use of fireworks, as well as to level the legal playing field for the industry. The NFA is almost single-handly responsible for the modern scientific methods of testing fireworks and the elimination of the "zero-tolerance" policy that destroyed so many firework manufactures.... American Fireworks Standards Laboratory

As of December 2011, AFSL has tested more than 75 million cases of consumer fireworks for U.S. members. AFSL offers the only independent third-party testing and certification service for both manufacturers and U.S. importers to assure that their products comply with state of the art technical requirements for fireworks. Through the development of voluntary standards and stringent testing to those standards, AFSL assures compliance with U.S. mandatory regulations for consumer fireworks established by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT). AFSL is a unique entity in the field of consumer product safety. It has been described repeatedly by U.S regulatory agencies as a role model for how other industries should work with China manufacturers to assure that products shipped to the U.S. comply with both mandatory and voluntary standards....
